KVP - TEXTILE DESIGN

Project : Creative Process

KVP’s creative process of patterns usually starts with a visual flash, her eye is captured by a graphic design,
by associations of shapes, volumes and vibrations in the city, in architecture, or in her visual environment.

All this will be collected in the form of moodboards and colorful ranges.
Her drawings are made by hand and then on the computer; either directly on the computer
where different combinations, overlays, repetitions are tested.

Sampling took part at each moment of her creative process,
it allows to guide each graphic decision, each choice of technique.
A drawing can inspire a desire and a technical necessity to be translated or completed.
Then, it’s adjusted over tests and prototyping.
But sometimes it’s the graphic effects, textures or volumes produced by a technique
during the sampling which influence the drawing and the choice of its future application.
